Finance for Business Expression of Interest
If you are considering submitting an outline project plan or application for funding, you should in the first instance contact Nicola Davies, Financial Investment Manager, 0113 394 9863.
You need to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) in order to be considered for Yorkshire Forward’s Finance for Business Support schemes. These are:
- Grant for Research & Development (GRD)
- Grant for Business Investment (GBI)
Before completing this form please read the information on these schemes available at
www.yorkshire-forward.com/funding.
We also run a separate programme of support for large company R & D which can be accessed through the www.yfird.org website and a separate programme for supporting rural enterprise – an expression of interest form for rural funding can be found at
www.yorkshire-forward.com/rural.
Registering an EOI allows us to identify whether your business, proposal and activity fits the basic eligibility criteria set for any of the 3 schemes listed above. Yorkshire Forward will respond within 2 working days to all completed EOIs received with specific advice as to the eligibility and fit with our investment priorities for the project described.
Any response from Yorkshire Forward is not to be construed as an indication that Yorkshire Forward will provide any funding and in no circumstances will a response from Yorkshire Forward form a legally binding contract between Yorkshire Forward and the organisation that submitted the EOI.
If you go on to make a full application, the EOI will not be used in the formal assessment of your proposal. Registering an EOI does not commit you to making a full application nor to Yorkshire Forward offering support. All full applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
You are responsible for any costs related to registering an EOI and for any further costs in the application process.
Data protection
In providing your name, contact details, and company details you consent to Yorkshire Forward’s use of your name, contact details and company details for the purposes of administering the EOI process.
Yorkshire Forward is subject to The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the “FOIA”) and Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (the “Regulations”) and may have to disclose information it holds relating to the EOI applicants which Yorkshire Forward, in its absolute discretion, considers it is required to disclose in order to comply with its obligations under the FOIA and Regulations.
If you consider that your EOI (or other recorded information that you supply to us) contains commercially sensitive information which, if it were disclosed, would prejudice your commercial interests or result in a breach of confidence, then within your EOI you should:
- clearly identify any parts of your EOI which you believe to be confidential and the specific nature of (and reasons for) the duty of confidence that applies to them;
- clearly identify any parts of your EOI which you believe to be commercially sensitive and provide specific evidence of the prejudice that would be caused if the information were disclosed; and
- provide an indication as to the duration you consider such information is to remain commercially sensitive or confidential.
Yorkshire Forward must determine whether any information that you supply to us is exempt from disclosure pursuant to any request for information made under the FOIA and Regulations, including any information that you have designated as commercially sensitive or confidential. Yorkshire Forward will endeavour to consult with you before deciding whether or not to disclose any information you have designated as commercially sensitive or confidential. However, whilst we will take your views on board, the decision whether or not to disclose information rests with Yorkshire Forward.
Please note that it is unlikely that any EOI will be entirely confidential, therefore, Yorkshire Forward will only treat as confidential any information contained within the EOI which it considers to have the necessary quality of confidence in accordance with legal precedent and published guidance in relation to the FOIA and Regulations.
