Logistics Security Network – Securing the supply chain
The Logistics Security Network (LSN), formerly Truck Watch, is operated by the Business Crime Reduction Centre, part of the regional Police charity, People United Against Crime. Membership to LSN is currently free. This is in response to the worsening economic climate.
Logistics Security Network fighting crime
Crimes affecting the logistics sector are varied and occur throughout the supply chain. The LSN provides advice and guidance from specialists within the logistics industry to help reduce the impact of crime across the sector.
LSN works with key stakeholders to fight crime across the region, such as the Police, Yorkshire Forward, Road Haulage Association, Crime Stoppers and key sector partners.

- HGV crime in Humberside was up 32% in the last quarter of 2007
- Metals stolen in Humberside alone totalled £500,000 in 2007
- In May 2008, siphoning of fuel accounted for 28% of all HGV crime in South Yorkshire
- In South Yorkshire, 51% of freight crime occurs on business premises.
