R&D Awards
There is also financial assistance to help businesses to develop new products, systems and processes:

• Grant for Research and Development (Small & Medium Companies) financial assistance for work that leads to innovative products or processes. Available to individuals starting a business or businesses with less than 250 employees.
• Industrial Research and Development Award for Large Companies - this is a scheme approved by the European Union.
• European R&D Support Programme – over €50bn is available from the European Commission to support research and development over the next 7 years.

Yorkshire Forward’s Centres of Industrial Collaboration (CICs) bridge the gap between universities and industry. They help businesses of all sizes to access the innovation, technology and expertise within the many world-leading university R&D facilities in Yorkshire and Humber, translating knowledge and facilities into commercial benefits.
