Improving the region's places
Yorkshire & Humber is a diverse and beautiful region: we have 5 big cities, yet 80% of the region is rural—and we have a long stretch of gorgeous coastline. But wherever in the region people live, we want to ensure equality of opportunity, and that their area is a great place in which to live and work. We also want to attract inward investment to those areas. In this section, find out about our towns, cities and rural areas, and what we’re doing to improve the places of Yorkshire & Humber.
We have a set of policies which direct how we improve the region's places: for example, where to invest, and what kind of activities we deliver. To find out about the policies which relate directly to improving places in our region, please refer to the section entitled our role.
