Penistone

Penistone lies within the Borough of Barnsley, 8 miles west of Barnsley. Penistone has been an important market town for at least 300 years, when the cattle market was granted a Royal charter in 1699. Penistone has a railway station connecting the town to Huddersfield and Sheffield and is close to the A629, A628 and M1.
