Stokesley Projects
Renaissance Market Towns projects in Stokesley include:
- Springboard - Designed specifically for start-up businesses, The Springboard Centre provides subsidised offices, communal spaces and training facilities in a new 13,500sqft “incubator” building located in an industrial park in North Yorkshire. All units open onto a generous multi-purpose communal space with stair core and centralised facilities, creating an open atmosphere and promoting the cross-fertilisation of ideas. The result is a successful local authority public building and an exemplar sustainable building model. www.springboardbusinesscentre.co.uk

- Momentum –built primarily to provide expansion space for businesses nurtured by Springboard, this office building continues the sustainable theme and has three storeys and a subterranean car park built to a high environmental standard. There is a rooftop wind turbine, underfloor heating, internal solar shading blinds and a system to re-use rainwater. It's also the first of the council's buildings to have a sedum roof. Momentum has seven self contained office suites and a shared meeting room - and tenants can continue to benefit from support from the Springboard team. The scheme is led by Hambleton Council, supported by Yorkshire Forward, and the European Regional Development Fund.
