CPM Group’s Pollington Works manufactures pre-cast concrete drainage products, such as the concrete entrance to a sewer below a manhole cover.
The company was awarded £57,000 GBI funding from Yorkshire Forward, towards a project to expand production into concrete structures for storm water and water recycling to achieve a growth rate of 3%. This resulted in 6 new jobs being created.
In recent years the markets for concrete pipes and other products that CPM produce has become increasingly competitive. The Company was highly geared so the board of CPM wished to offset the risk by applying for a grant.
