CSR - Impact on the Bottom Line
10/03/2010 08:30 - 16:00
The conference will provide delegates, with the latest thinking and impacts on the bottom line of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within leading businesses, and will provide benefit to organisations of all size, scale, discipline and sector. Join us on Wednesday 10th March at Humber Seafood Institute, Grimsby.
CSR has become one of the most crucial aspects of business in the 21st Century and is about understanding your business impact on the wider world. Evidence suggests that successful companies will be those that seek to raise their game by taking a more responsible approach to all their business activities. CSR is much more than philanthropy, the giving to charity, it cuts across everything you do and everyone you deal with, in essence, your employees, suppliers, communities, environment and customers. This is not just about meeting legal requirements but embedding a socially responsible culture throughout the organisation, starting at strategic level.
CSR can help you improve your business performance today and in the long term.
Many organisations have made considerable savings by investing in more socially responsible activities such as the reduction of energy and water wastage. Customer values are changing too, not only do they want ‘value for money’, but they are more conscious of the impacts of societies on the environment. Therefore, with a CSR focus you also can keep winning business from the increasingly demanding customers, the key to being a sustainable business.
The conference is organised by the Humber Institute of Food and Fisheries and The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology, and will highlight best practise and best management methods of incorporating CSR into business practices.
The speakers include senior industry professionals from retail, manufacturing, logistics and food service and will provide a view of CSR implementation and its impact across a range of industry sectors. Details of each speaker’s paper will be published shortly.
