Innovator/10, the third Yorkshire and Humber Innovation Awards has been established by Yorkshire Forward to celebrate innovative organisations that are based, or have a major presence in the region. In today's global economy, the ability to innovate can determine the success or growth of a business or of a region, or a country. Of all the triggers for success, the ability to innovate is perhaps the most critical, and therefore the biggest challenge.
Innovator/10 celebrates the outstanding achievements in Innovation and creativity in the region. This year's winners will receive a cash prize of £3,000 to invest in development or research that will enable their business to further enhance their innovative progress. Deadline for applications is now closed.
Finalists will be joined by over 200 of the region’s leading businesses to celebrate the outstanding achievements in Innovation in the Yorkshire and Humber Region. This prestigious black tie event will be held at Leeds City Museum and guest speaker on the evening will be Tim Smit, Founder of the Eden Project. Eden began as a dream in 1995 and opened its doors to the public for an exhibition in 2000. The press dubbed it "the Eighth Wonder of the World." To date more than 4 million people have walked through its gateway. It is changing people's perception of the potential for the application of science and innovation and indeed, the public language of science as well as living up to its mission to play a massive part in local regeneration.
The event will take place on Wednesday 3rd March at the Leeds City Museum, Leeds. For more information about the event, click here. Alternatively email the Events Team or call 0113 394 9711/12.
