October First Friday Business Networking Event with Carl Hopkins

01/10/2010 12:00 - 14:00

Venue : Cedar Court Hotel Denby Dale Road Wakefield

Post code : WF4 3QZ

On 1st October the Wakefield District's key monthly business networking event will welcome one of Yorkshire's leading entrepreneurs and marketing gurus, Carl Hopkins. Carl will provide an insight into how his lack of support growing up and his appearance on The Secret Millionaire influenced the creation of Joblink Solutions, a company created to bridge education and enterprise.
With 25 years’ experience, Carl has a list of accolades under his belt and is best known for his appearance on Channel 4's The Secret Millionaire. Since taking part in the programme he has dedicated a large proportion of his time to encouraging pro-enterprise attitudes in young people, visiting colleges and universities as well as enterprise centres up and down the country. Carl’s desire to promote enterprise has culminated in the launch of his latest venture, Joblink solutions; a Community Interest Company that supports organisations that train people for work through education and inspiration. Carl’s other businesses include ‘kloog’ - his own business development consultancy, JumbleAID and Parties Around the World - two different fundraising businesses that help charities in the UK and abroad; Joblink Systems, an online candidate management system; Agencybods, a recruitment business for the creative and marketing sector; and M&H Wellbeing; a portfolio of online retail businesses. Carl is also a non-executive director of Forward Ladies, a business network supporting women across the north of England. He can also regularly be found taking to the podium judging marketing or enterprise competitions.
Please Note: There is a charge of £29.38 inc. VAT per delegate to contribute towards costs. Cancellations made on or after 29th September or non-attendance at the event following confirmation of booking will be charged in full.
