Local companies celebrate national digital awards

Digital companies from across the region have been celebrating after scooping 13 of the 30 awards available at the national Drum Awards for the Digital Industries (DADI), held at Leeds Royal Armouries on 13 November 2009. The awards evening was a spectacular culmination to the region’s Digital Week 2009, which was operated in association with ‘Leeds: Live it, Love it’.

Why is the digital sector important to our region?

Digital industries play a key part in the region’s economy, and are a priority sector in Yorkshire Forward’s investment strategy. Bringing over £5bn into the region every year and employing over 123,000 people here, the digital & new media sector in Yorkshire & Humber is second only to London’s.

What are the DADIs?

The leading awards for UK digital companies are organised by Carnyx Group, publishers of the creative industry magazine ‘The Drum’.
