The company's Leeds production plant, which manufactures printing plates, was recently awarded the MX award for Sustainable Manufacturing for improving its treatment of waste by 98.5%, virtually eliminating landfill.
Staff at the plant, which employs 92 people, have developed a new method of production that decreases the amount of acidic waste produced in the making of the aluminium printing plates. This method creates a more easily soluble waste and cleaner results.
This is just one of the many recent eco-friendly initiatives taken at the Leeds facility as part of a ten year plan to reduce energy and raw materials costs.
On this visit, pick up ideas for intiatives that will reduce your site's energy costs, making your business more resource efficient and reducing its impact on the environment.
