Yorkshire and Humber Businesses 'Going Global' for Success
03/03/2010
The 2010 finalists of the region’s international trade awards have been revealed, with 15 regional businesses being recognised for their success in overseas trade.
Hosted by Yorkshire Forward, in conjunction with UK Trade & Investment, the Going Global Awards are designed to celebrate regional companies that are growing their business through international trade.
The shortlisted companies have been whittled down from over 60 company entries and the awards will be held on Tuesday 16th March 2010 at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate.
Linda Pollard, Assistant Chair of Yorkshire Forward believes that in the current economic climate “it is vital that companies are connected to opportunities to expand into new markets and given the encouragement and practical support that will allow them to survive and grow.
“These awards celebrate the achievements of those who have succeeded in entering international markets and raises awareness of the benefits that can bring, particularly to a company’s bottom line.”
