An industrial equipment supplier based in West Yorkshire has won an award for reducing its carbon emissions.
Slingsby, of Shipley, won Business in the Community's Yorkshire and Humber Carbon Reduction Award.
The firm, which has more than 120 employees, introduced energy saving measures and waste management.
Managing director Dominic Slingsby said: "Reducing our carbon footprint and making all our operations as efficient as possible makes business sense and we are delighted to have our efforts recognised.
"When we moved premises in 2006 we invested heavily in a wide range of environmental improvements including new insulation throughout, fans that recirculate high level warm air and we even reshaped trees that were blocking natural light.
"In addition we have created recycling centres in all office, production and warehouse areas and installed two compactors that reduce the number of skips we need for waste and enable us to recycle approximately five tonnes of plastic each year instead of sending it to landfill."
Communisis UK, Leeds Metropolitan University, Northern Foods and Yorkshire Bank were named as runners-up in the contest.
