Straight hopes for improved margins

Straight, a Leeds-based firm that specialises in environmental products, is hoping to perform better in the second half of this year, compared with the same period in 2009.
In a trading update, the company reported that orders remained high in the first six months of the year, and the board is hoping the second half of the year will show better profit margins.
The acquisition of Helesi earlier in the year is expected to help the firm achieve higher margins on its plastic-wheeled bins.
Straight's retail business was also boosted after more than eight in 10 local authorities signed up to its home composting scheme.
Straight said: "The Group continues to identify and progress additional opportunities for growth through vertical integration as well as through product and market expansion.
"Looking forward, the outlook for the remainder of the year is positive and the board is confident that it will meet market expectations for the full year."
