Yorkshire has figured prominently in sporting awards presented at the prestigious Racehorse Owners Association gala annual dinner in London.
York Racecourse was voted Racecourse of the Year, while Sea The Stars, which won the Juddmonte International at the course's Ebor Festival, was named Sportingbet.com Horse of the Year.
Meanwhile, Wetherby-based colt Borderlescott, already acknowledged as the fastest horse at York after winning the Group One Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, won the title of Outstanding Sprinter.
Association chief executive Michael Harris said: "York is a superb racecourse and one that provides outstanding prize-money and excellent facilities.
"The course is held in high regard across the whole horse-racing industry, and has already been given our Gold Standard, which recognises overall excellence in the raceday experience."
Course chief executive William Derby said: "Racehorse owners are the single biggest investors in British racing, and we are hugely appreciative of their enthusiasm and commitment to the sport and racing at York."
