Local Economic Assessments
Local Economic Assessment Support
On Friday 2nd October 2009, the Chief Economist Unit (CEU), Office for National Statistics Regional Statisticians, Yorkshire Futures and Yorkshire Forward’s Strategy Team hosted a one-day event in Leeds.
The purpose of the day was to link LEAs to the Integrated Regional Strategy (iRS), provide support on data capacity and expertise (not to provide guidance), fill information gaps, identify variables that support LEAs, and to ensure data sources are comparable and consistent across the region and at required levels of geography.
Below you will find links to the presentations given on this support day, and links to a number of data sources available to help with the development of LEAs.
As and when research information, reports, spreadsheets etc. become available that we think may be useful to the LEA process, we will either add them, or a link to them to this web-page.
You will also find contact details for CEU team members and ONS regional statisticians dedicated to support the LEA process in each geographical sub-region.
