Support for former employees of JARVIS

Following the recent events at Jarvis, which affected the entire workforce, key agencies are working together to optimize the support available for former employees. 

Help is available to ensure that individuals are linked to the most appropriate advice including; benefits, pensions, tax, housing benefits, council tax amongst a host of other support.  Former employees will be offered an opportunity to discuss short term training requirements and longer term career aspirations with specialist advisors to help determine their next steps and ensure they are sign posted appropriately.

The following two ‘Support for You’ events have been arranged:

Thursday 15th April, 10am-4pm @ York College,
Sim Balk Lane, York, YO23 2BB

Friday 16th April, 10am-4pm @ Doncaster College,
The Hub, Chappell Drive, Doncaster, DN1 2RF

These will include opportunities to attend future group sessions and 1:1’s to discuss individual support needs in relation to benefits and training and a chance to speak with careers advisors. A booking system will be available on the day, to ensure that people have a future scheduled appointment with the relevant support Agency.

In addition to this, we will be registering the contact details of former employees and will disseminate this directly to prospective employers.
