American company L-3 MPRI is bringing world-leading training simulators to the Humber region. Its first European demonstration centre is being launched at the Logistics Institute at Hull University Business School on Thursday 22nd July in a partnership that will team its technologically advanced simulators with leading academic expertise.

The end is almost in sight for the fleet of ten Clipper yachts competing in the 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race. After nine months of not always plain sailing, the yachts including our very own Hull & Humber are returning to Hull on Saturday 17 July and we need to ensure they arrive to a rapturous Yorkshire welcome to match the send off back in September 2009 when 150,000 lined the River Humber to wave off the crews.
